Portal Team#
The Portal Team screen names the people who run the portal. It lists the holders of each portal role, so a visitor can see who maintains the portal and whom to ask about it.
You reach it by opening Community in the navigation menu and choosing Team. Anyone can open it, signed in or not. The menu calls it Team, and the screen’s heading is Portal Team.
The heading#
Under the heading Portal Team is the line Meet the individuals that maintain this portal and keep the community thriving. An information button beside the heading opens a short note about why a portal needs a team, with an About portal roles link to the FairDM site. The link opens in a new tab.
The roles#
The rest of the screen has one section for each portal role that somebody holds. A section has the role’s name as its heading and, under it, one card for each person who holds the role, four across on a wide screen. The roles come in a fixed order, and a role nobody holds is left out:
Portal Administrator
Data Curator
Community Manager
Developer
A person who holds more than one role appears under each. A person whose account is deactivated is left out.
A card is the same one the People screen shows: the person’s photo or initials, their name linked to their profile with an ORCID icon when they have an ORCID iD, their primary organization and its place, and a badge for each portal role they hold.
Only portal roles appear here. The roles people hold on a record, such as creator or contact person, do not. See Portal roles for what each role allows.
When it is empty#
When nobody holds any portal role, the screen shows its heading and the line under it, and no sections.
What you can do here#
Open a person’s profile by selecting their name. See Your profile for what a profile shows.
Find everyone else in the portal. See People.
